# Cast to a TV or display

Open the **Cast** tab.

1. **What to cast**: choose **Screen**, **Window** or **Region**. Window and region casting are part of the Basic plan and above.
2. **Cast to**: pick a display from the list. It shows the protocol of each one (AirPlay, Google Cast or Miracast). If a device is not listed, add it by its IP address.
3. **Stream settings**: choose a quality preset. Balanced is 30 fps. The 60 fps presets are part of the Pro plan. The hint under the list shows the network speed each preset is comfortable on.
4. Press **Start**.

While casting, a floating bar offers sound, recording (Basic plan and above), a screenshot, a mini window, minimize to tray and stop. The bar hides itself after three seconds; move the mouse to bring it back.

## Tips

- Casting one window follows that window even if another window is in front.
- Use a 5 GHz Wi-Fi network or Ethernet for the PC when casting at higher quality.
- If a TV asks for a code, it appears on the TV screen; AeroCast prompts you to type it.
