Troubleshooting
The PC does not show up on my phone
- Check that both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network. Guest networks, some mesh systems and many office networks isolate devices from each other.
- Make sure Windows Firewall allows AeroCast on private networks. If you pressed Cancel at the first prompt, run allow_firewall.bat from the AeroCast install folder as administrator, or allow AeroCast in Windows Security, Firewall and network protection, Allow an app through firewall.
- Make sure the network is set to Private in Windows (Settings, Network and Internet, Properties).
- Turn off a VPN on the PC to test. Some VPN adapters confuse which address AeroCast announces.
Android or Windows senders cannot connect
- The status line at the top of AeroCast tells you when Wi-Fi is off or the Wireless Display feature is missing.
- See Connect a Windows PC to install the feature and to allow projecting to this PC.
- If a Windows sender stays on "Connecting", restart casting on the sender.
No sound on iPhone mirroring
- Check Settings, Video and Audio in AeroCast and choose the sound output device.
- Make sure the iPhone is not muted for the app you are mirroring.
Paid features are locked
- Open Settings, Account and Plan and sign in with the email you bought with.
- A plan stays on for up to seven days without internet. After that, connect once so AeroCast can renew it.
- Each licence works on two PCs. Remove an old PC from your account.
Send a log
Open Settings, Diagnostics, export the log and attach it to an email to [email protected]. The log holds network details of your own devices; it never contains the pictures from your screen.
